Attraction is Not a Choice

Attraction is Not a Choice
By Arlissa Pinkelton

On a basic psychological level, people naturally are drawn to social groups. They follow a leader and glean the information from them. At some point they gain enough confidence and experience to challenge the leadership and then they break off from the group and form their own.

The leader of the group has a responsibility, too. They are supposed to protect the group and in turn other people follow them.

These grouping instincts are still present today and used on the internet. The value of a leader is now expressed through perceived abilities like business savvy, sociability, monetary means, and education.

Basically, we determine a person’s attractiveness or unattractiveness based on how much value they have to offer.

There are 2 important things to be shared here as it relates to attraction marketing. 1. People are subconsciously attracted to those who convey leadership qualities and have a high level of personal value. 2. If you want to make it big in networking and marketing, you must convey, or learn to convey, these qualities, thereby becoming a leader who offers value to others.

Belief always comes before results.

You may feel like a fraud as you’re becoming this leader and adapting a new belief system concerning yourself, but keep developing. Only another true leader will be able to identify where you really are.

People join people, they don’t join businesses. You want to be or become a person people want to join – a Leader.

A Leader has several personality traits.
- They radiate confidence and don’t care about outside criticism.
- They know exactly what they want and focus on that goal
- They offer a tremendous amount of value to others
- They radiate positive energy and optimism
- They truly love and respect themselves and their bodies.
- They love and protect those who matter to them
- They do what the majority is unwilling to do

If you’re still unsure what a leader looks like, they are the upline in any business who sponsors people effortlessly.

Leaders offer value and the prospects automatically seek them out for an association so they can share in the success, power, and value.

This is the foundational concept of Magnetic Sponsoring (Attraction Marketing).

Because Attraction is not a Choice and we see that people ‘respond’ to those they view as value-added leaders, we seek to be or become those leaders that people are drawn to.

How do we do that?

Become valuable to others. Develop inherent value by learning and share that information with those who want/need it. Be confident in who you are and what you know. Have a strong physical presence. Be outgoing, fun, secure, filled with self-esteem, and socially powerful.

The more valuable you become to others, the more they will seek you out.
